Hi it’s me Cruz! I’m an interdisciplinary artist specializing in ceramics, tattoos, and fabric artistry. I like to twist traditional techniques with modern aesthetics to create unique, intricate, and meaningful pieces.
I’ve always been an extremely hands-on person with a love to problem solve. Luckily for me ceramics has proven a big need for both of those traits. What I really love about ceramics and art in general is how much it forces me to slow down. In my opinion the process is just as important as the finished product. Ensuring I stay present to not only calculate but enjoy every step is what makes art fun for me.
Each of my three primary mediums requires its own set of skills, techniques, and practices. I believe the years I’ve spent developing each one have helped me grow in the others, both artistically and personally. Learning how connected everything truly is can be an eye-opening experience. I’m drawn to ambitious projects that challenge me and push me into unfamiliar territory, because I know I’ll always walk away having learned something new.
I hope that when you look at, touch, and use my artwork, it not only serves its purpose but also brings you a little bit of joy. Knowing that I can make even one person’s day a little more fun through something as simple and everyday as a cup is at the core of my work.
